What operating system do you want your phone to have? Android? iOS? BlackBerry? Even the newly released Firefox OS? Windows Phone?
Android has hundreds of phones running it.
iOS has one line of phones. I recommend the iPhone 4S or 5C.
BlackBerry has two phones: Q10 and Z10. I recommend the Z10.
Firefox OS has 2 main phones: an Alcatel One Touch and a ZTE phone. However you should wait until Firefox OS expands.
Windows Phone devices are by Samsung, HTC, Nokia, and Huawei. Nokia and HTC make the best Windows Phones. Nokia Lumia 520, 625, 920, 1020, etc. HTC has the Windows Phone 8X and 8XT.
Android phones have plenty. Do you want a giant phone with great battery life? Choose the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 or the Motorola Razr Droid Maxx HD. Do you want a medium-sized phone with an awesome camera and dual-front-facing speakers? Choose the HTC One. Do you want a do-everything phone? Choose the Samsung Galaxy S4.
